When life throws us around

New piece, one of my recent contorted ladies, style inspired by my latest browsing of fashion and watercolor images online... I'm trying to get the clothes right, it's a bit harder to conjure up in my mind how clothing fits on a person with no reference to work from. I've been sketching more portraits lately as well... it has payed off here. I will post some of those sketches next time...

Post Art School

It has only been two months and I've already taken a completely different direction from what I was doing my senior year at Ringling... I guess it takes graduating, the lifting of the pressure to finally allow myself to paint just for pleasure, explore different media, realize I can draw from my head, and not care what others think about it... artistic freedom, finally.
